Family Link (on parent phone)
- Select child profile.
- Apps — approve each; set time limits per app.
- Screen time — daily, schedule, bedtime.
- Controls › Content restrictions › Play Store: age rating.
- Controls › Content restrictions › Google Search: SafeSearch on.
- Controls › Content restrictions › Chrome: try to block mature, or approved only.
- Controls › Content restrictions › YouTube: Supervised Experience.
- Location — always on.
- Manage settings › Parent access code.
On kid’s Android device
- Settings › Apps › Install unknown apps: off for all.
- Settings › Digital Wellbeing › Bedtime mode: on.
- Settings › Accounts › remove any non-supervised accounts.
- Disable Developer Options if enabled.
- For Samsung: Samsung Kids profile (optional for younger kids).
Play Store (kid device)
- Parental controls — on; set age filters.
- Purchase approval: Always require.
Chrome (kid device)
- Supervised account: Family Link manages SafeSearch and incognito.
- Extensions: disabled via Family Link where possible.
