Settings › Screen Time

  • Turn On Screen Time (top button).
  • Set Screen Time Passcode — kid does NOT know.
  • Downtime — 9pm-7am.
  • App Limits — Social 60m, Games 30m.
  • Communication Limits — During Screen Time: Contacts only.
  • Communication Safety — on.
  • Always Allowed — Phone, Messages, Maps, educational.
  • Content & Privacy Restrictions — on.

Content & Privacy Restrictions

  • iTunes & App Store Purchases: Don’t Allow install / delete.
  • Allowed Apps: toggle Safari off for young kids.
  • Content Restrictions: Apps 9+/12+, TV PG, Movies PG.
  • Web Content: Limit Adult Websites.
  • Siri: Don’t Allow Web Search Content.
  • Privacy: Don’t Allow Changes for Location, Contacts, Mic, Photos.
  • Allow Changes: Don’t Allow for Passcode, Account, Cellular.

Family Sharing

  • Settings › [your name] › Family.
  • Add child › Create Child Account (if needed).
  • Ask to Buy: On.
  • Share My Location: with family members.

Safari

  • Private browsing disabled via Content Restrictions.
  • Block Pop-ups: on.
  • Fraudulent Website Warning: on.

Messages

  • Filter Unknown Senders: on.
